The Big Lemon in Bristol

The Big Lemon runs one public bus service in Bristol, route 515 between Stockwood, Hengrove ASDA, Hengrove Park, and Imperial Park. Click on the link below for the route, timetable, and fare table, and click on the yellow button to see where the buses are in real-time:

The service is currently being run with diesel buses to begin with, but the plan is to transition to electric over the next year, powered by renewable energy and owned by the community.

Up until 1 April 2023 we also ran the 505, and 506, and 516 services; sadly the 506 and 516 have been withdrawn by the local authority, and the 505 is running to a new timetable, operated by Stagecoach. Click here for information. We would like to thank our passengers for travelling with us, it has been a real pleasure getting to you know and we hope to see you again one day!

Our fares are in line with the requirements of the West of England Combined Authority and consistent with those of other operators in the region.

The BristolRider ticket gives unlimited access to all bus services in Bristol regardless of who they are operated by, and the AvonRider gives unlimited access to all bus services in the wider area including Bath and North East Somerset, Weston Super Mare and North Somerset.

Bus Drivers Wanted!

We’re recruiting!

The Big Lemon is looking for qualified PSV drivers to drive routes 505, 506, 515 and 516. As well as excellent rates of pay, a welcome bonus and free membership of the Transport Benevolent Fund, we offer the opportunity to work in a small family team where everyone is a name, not a number; and we all work together to do our best for our colleagues and for the community.

If this sounds like something you’d like more info on, please fill in the form below 🙂
